UFJF receives the applications for Specialisation in Orthodontics until March 31

The Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) receives until Aug. 31, registration for the Specialization Course in Orthodontics. According to coordinator Robert Willer Farinazzo Stained Glass, the goal is to train orthodontists knowledge base that enables them to exercise safely and expertise with a critical, enabling them to make decisions on treatment planning ahead to the diversity of factors that may interfere in the course of these procedures.

Willer states that the training of students is not limited to a single technique. We aim to provide an overview of what exists in the art. Both in the laboratory and the clinic, the postgraduates will receive training in traditional techniques edgewise, straight wire technique, orthopedic techniques, among others.

The course will last two years, with a load of 20 hours per week. Classes consist of six students, representing half the maximum allowed by the Federal Council of Dentistry. This creates the relationship of the student towards his teacher advisor, which has proved an advantageous relationship, said the coordinator.

The insertion of the course in the scientific community can be observed by the participation of faculty advisers on the editorial boards of publications, dental (Qualification Capes A and B) as the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the Journal of Orthodontics and Dental Research Press in Brazilian Pediatric Dentistry and Integrated Clinic, among others. According to Willer, several projects developed in the research group have been published in these journals.

Those interested can register at the Registry of course, the School of Dentistry on the campus from 8am to 12pm and from 14h to 17h. The value of the registration fee is $ 80 which must be deposited in favor of Bank of Brazil FADEPA account 205503-1, 0024-8 Agency. Tryouts will be held

between 12 and 15 April. The tuition and fees are set at 24 R $ 1,500.00.
