The Ministry of Health will allocate £ 12.5 million to the Strategic Action Plan for the Fight of Chronic Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs). The amount will be distributed among the health funds state, local and Federal District (DF).

Each state and DF receive between $ 175 thousand and $ 250 thousand to be invested in strengthening and implementation of the planned actions by the government plan. The program provides medical care at home for patients with limited mobility that need not be hospitalized and creating beds in the back wards of hospitals for care of those who still need care after undergoing emergency interventions in their own wards.

It also foresees the deployment of specific units in hospitals for the care of heart patients and stroke victims and cover examination of the cervix to more than 80% of women 25 to 64 years old.

Moreover, it is planned to offer universal (100%) of treatment for those who have a diagnosis of breast or uterus, the two tripos of malignant tumors that kill more Brazilian. The goal is to achieve a ratio of 196 cases per 100 000 inhabitants by 2022. In 2011, the ratio was 255 victims for every 100 thousand inhabitants.
