The Ministry of Health has approved U.S. $ 153.2 million for the implementation of the third stage of the Plan of Action of the Emergency Care Network of the State of São Paulo - Region ABC Paulista (SP). Of this total, R $ 24.4 million will be invested in the network - immediately. The measure benefits seven municipalities in the metropolitan region of the state. The goal is to enhance the organization's network services to users of SUS.

The transfers will be incorporated into the financial limit of Medium and High Complexity of the state and the municipalities of Diadema, Maua, Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, Sao Caetano do Sul, Rio Grande and Ribeirão Pires da Serra. The funds will enable the expansion and enhancement, qualification and qualification of Emergency Care Units (UPA 24h) and input ports of ER, and clinical beds and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

To set the volume of resources for the state and municipalities, is made an action plan based on demographic and epidemiological survey, mapping the installed capacity, the existing deficit and the size of the population, among other things.
