This Saturday and Sunday (22 and 23) the Base Hospital Ary Pinheiro, in Porto Velho (RO), will hold another joint effort surgeries. This time will be made gynecological surgeries such as removal of the uterus through vaginal and abdominal (abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy), removal of cysts in the ovaries (oforectomia) and perineum (colpoperineoplasty) in more than 30 patients.

According to the gynecologist and obstetrician, Juan Carlos, executive director of the unit, the medical staff is comprised of teachers residency, four more gynecologic surgeons, four anesthesiologists, ten residents in obstetrics and gynecology, nurses and nursing technicians. Will be occupied four rooms in the operating room.

The director general of the Base Hospital, Jean Negreiros doctor said that this joint effort is the beginning of a series, which will be held weekly and the goal is zero, within a maximum of 90 days, the surgeries accumulated throughout the year due to strikes . He explained that the next will vesicle (colisistemia), hernias and cataracts. Negreiros underscores the importance of residency, which is ahead of these task forces.

The Health Secretary (Sesau) Gilvan Ramos added that the joint efforts give better resolution in surgeries and a quicker response to public patients awaiting procedures.
