River creates site to inform professionals and public about diseases

In order to ask questions of people about diseases, prevention and symptoms, the State Department of Health (SES) of Rio de Janeiro created the site "Rio Com Saúde", information tool aimed at all audiences.

For the Superintendent of Epidemiological Surveillance and Environmental SES, Alexander Chieppe, this is one of the differentials of the new portal. On the air since May, the portal also offers access to the visually impaired.

"The site was thought to serve as a conduit of information for both managers and health professionals as to the population. He will provide technical data and at the same time, will also allow the general public has access to important information about prevention diseases and health care, "explains Alexander.

Also according to the superintendent of Epidemiological Surveillance, the contents of the site will be updated as campaigns or time of year. "We will have special actions on certain dates as the World Day to Combat Tuberculosis. Even lesser known diseases such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever and visceral leishmaniasis also have space.
