Action was filed in federal court by the president and vice president of Simepe, Mario Jorge Lobo and Fernando Cabral, respectively, and the vice president of Cremepe, José Carlos Alencar, who were accompanied by lawyers of the institutions.

The Association of Physicians of Pernambuco (Simepe) in conjunction with the Regional Council of Medicine (Cremepe) and the Medical Association of California (AMPE) filed a Public Civil Action in Federal Court on Friday (27), against the Government the State University of Pernambuco (UPE) and Municipalist Association of Pernambuco (Amupe). The Medical Entities seek the annulment of the Technical Cooperation and the announcement of the continuation Provalida aimed at undergraduate medical diplomas issued by foreign educational institutions.

The Simepe, Cremepe AMPE and understands that the Provalida is an approach adopted by the State Government to circumvent the holding of public tenders and facilitate the entry of foreign professionals with questionable academic background to work in public health services. For the representatives of the entities, lack a concrete policy for setting professional in the State with career plan with state-based instruments that encourage the internalization of the work, adequate investment in physical infrastructure, diagnostic support and referral network, ensuring remuneration suitable for doctors.

Under the president's Simepe, Mario Jorge Lobo, the Union is totally opposed to trying to easing the process of revalidation of medical degree to facilitate access to public service. The constitutional requirement of the tender should be respected. We do not accept the precariousness of public health service, said. Another issue raised by the vice-president of the Union, Fernando Cabral, is the discriminatory factor that the process imposes on doctors with the degree of national formation.

The lawsuit was filed in Federal Court, the president and vice president of Simepe, Mario Jorge Lobo and Fernando Cabral, respectively, and the vice president of Cremepe, Carlos José Alencar, who were accompanied by lawyers of the institutions.
