The Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (ICESP) opened this week (10) a modern audience of clinical research in oncology. The lab, built in the 12th floor of the hospital, will multiply the number of searches for new drugs and treatment strategies against cancer that may be more effective and less aggressive.

With approximately 80 professionals, centrifuges, refrigerators and special seats of chemotherapy, the clinical research industry ICESP will centralize the work in the institution. All proceedings shall be made in one location, improving information flow and quality of studies.

The area of ​​clinical research ICESP has an important role in social responsibility to support treatment as an alternative for patients who do not have good options with conventional therapies. Today, 240 patients participate each year of studies conducted by the hospital. With the new center, that number exceed 500.
