The Brazilian public health has to improve and need a more efficient management. This is the opinion of 70% of respondents in the national survey DataSenado, unit poll of the Senate.

According to the survey, the public also understands that the government already has enough money to improve the quality of public health. This region is the one that has the highest satisfaction rates of the population with public health (56%), while the Northeast is the most critical: only 29% were satisfied.

The survey also found that 90% of the population think three very important projects in progress in the Senate and that relate directly to health: a punishing public health administrators who do not comply with their obligations (PLS 190/2009), which prohibits smoking in closed places around the country (PLS 315/2008) and propose to require health plans to cover costs of some cancer drugs (PLS 352/2011).

The DataSenado interviewed 1290 people, with more than 16 years and access to telephone in all states, between 16 September and 3 October. The margin of sampling error is 3 percentage points. To view the full survey, click aqui.
