The Special Operations Battalion (BOPE) has developed a program of health guidelines for the corporation. Thirteen police between 35 and 55 years were chosen to spend a week on a farm in Guaratiba, in the West Zone of Rio, in the first edition of the program.

The training is intensive. The project includes twelve hours of daily exercise and a balanced diet. All were selected to participate after medical examinations detect problems caused by inadequate nutrition. The group was accompanied by a multidisciplinary team and after the period of the course, each participant lost 3.5 pounds on average.

According to the organizers, "the soldiers of the elite troops of the Rio de Janeiro also need guidance for their own health."
