Rondonistas USP work in primary health care in Bahia

Workshops and lectures leading to the interior of Bahia population health issues such as disease prevention and emergencies

A new team Rondonistas campus of Ribeirão Preto, formed by 400 volunteers and 40 education institutions throughout the country, goes to the city of Cipo, in the state of Bahia, where he will serve until the beginning of February in Operation Two July.

Altogether, 20 municipalities in Bahia, receive basic health guidance on vaccines that include lectures, urgencies and emergencies, use and disposal of drugs, STDs and pregnancy care. Other issues such as education, science and math, personal finance and the right to citizenship will also be addressed by volunteers.

The aim of the expedition is to make Rondonistas a project enabler. To Victor Mello, student of Directors of FEARP, the expectation is to work with health care professionals, teachers, community workers and members of the child protection agency, so they can become knowledge multipliers.

Coordinated by teachers Auro Nomizo and Fernando Barbosa Jr, both of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP) USP, the campus of Ribeirão group consists of eight graduate students of the schools of Nursing (EERP), Medicine (FMRP) , FCFRP, Law (FDRP), Philosophy (FFCLRP) and Economics, Administration and Accounting (FEA-RP).
