Survey of Mobilization for Testing in the state of Sao Paulo shows that more than half of the participants had never done the HIV test. During the National Mobilization for Prevention and Testing for HIV, Syphilis and Hepates B and C, promoted by the Ministry of Health, the state of São Paulo conducted nearly 200 000 examinations in 526 municipalities, informs the State Coordination of STD / AIDS .

According to a survey conducted in 92 cities, totaling 27,179 rapid tests for HIV, 1.09% of men and 0.28% of women received diagnoses positive for the AIDS virus, representing an average of 0.68%.

A higher proportion of positive results was found in men in the age group of 20 to 49 years, whereas among women, ranging from 30 to 39, informs the coordinator of Stay Knowing the state of São Paulo, Karina Wolffenbüttel.

Responsible for preventing the State Program, Karina highlights the high rates of people who had never taken the exam detection of the AIDS virus.

Among those who took the test standard, we found that 58% of men and 45% of women did the first exam. In a quick test, it was observed in 54% of men and 48% women.

In total, there were some conventional tests 100,000 and 40,000 rapid, which results out in half an hour.

Among people who were tested by the conventional method, most had more than 30 years of age, 62% were women, and 1.9% mom.
