More than 1 million children have updated vaccination in Sao Paulo

About 1.1 million children have attended the clinics of the state of São Paulo to update the passbook vaccination. The balance is the State Department of Health, based on data reported by 645 counties up to 13 hours of today (20).

Children taken to put in São Paulo since last Saturday (18), when the campaign was launched nationwide to update the passbook vaccination, 86% had their vaccines on time and did not need to be immunized. All children under 5 years old must attend to the posts to make the inquiry.

In total, up to now in state, were applied in children 152,400, 236,000 doses of vaccines that protect against 15 diseases such as polio, pneumonia, yellow fever, influenza, meningitis and rotavirus. Was also provided for the first time, the pentavalent vaccine that immunizes against disease diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, meningitis and hepatitis B.

The campaign, which aims to update the passbook São Paulo vaccination of 2.9 million children under 5 years following until next Friday. To date, 37.9% of the goal has been achieved. The clinics open at 8 am and close at 17 hours.

The booklet of vaccination is critical to establish which doses have already been implemented, which are overdue and which should be implemented in the months or years.
