RJ Health empowers the municipal dengue control

The undersecretary of the Health Surveillance Secretariat of State of Health of Rio de Janeiro (RJ-SES) will hold these fifth and Friday (16:17) a workshop on preparation of contingency plans for dengue. The goal is to guide managers and technicians in the preparation of municipal contingency plans for dengue, taking into account the reality of each municipality, as defined within the new methodology in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, which aims to anticipate the response to a potential epidemic.

This is done by identifying the signs that indicate an increase in the number of dengue cases. Among the topics covered in the workshop are the organization of routine patient care, vector control, management, surveillance and social mobilization. The municipalities of the Lowlands are the first to receive training. On August 23, it's time to get the Metropolitan Region II workshop.

In addition to external training, SES performs on August 22 the Internal Seminar on Dengue, which will be a balance of the shares in 2012 and discussed the structuring of actions for next year. The event will be attended by representatives of the various secretariats that cover the Secretariat. Among the topics under discussion are epidemiological surveillance, laboratory diagnosis of dengue, health education and organization of the care process of state units, including structuring inbound port of patients in health facilities, clinical management protocol for dengue, the risk ratings and host and others.
