Doctors Hospital of Pernambuco launch pocket guide on medical clinic

Authors intending to make a material purpose of the book and summarized consultation for students and professionals

Doctors at the Hospital das Clinicas (HC), Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) launched on Wednesday (11) Pocket Guide to Clinical Medicine. The work brings together themes of everyday life in the practice of outpatient care, helping graduate students and medical residency.

According to the preceptor's residence in echocardiography, HC, Eduardo Cavalcanti, one of the authors of the guide, the book is a way of linking practice to theory. Since graduation, I felt the lack of a reference material more concise and objective because the student often has to deal with longer texts and different sources said.

With about 400 pages, the book also features an example of clinical prescribing the end of each chapter. Among the authors are the supervisor of residency in endocrinology, Patricia Gadelha, nephrologist and HC, Larissa Guedes. The book also includes the participation of professionals in the clinical picture of the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (USP).
